Anne Curtis (born Anne Ojales Curtis Smith on February 17, 1985 in Australia) is a Filipino-Australian commercial model and actress currently active in the Philippines. She is best known for her roles as Celine Magsaysay in Maging Sino Ka Man and as Imang/Fatima, the title role in Kampanerang Kuba. Both of these shows aired on the ABS-CBN network in the Philippines. Anne became the very first winner on MYX Awards 2005 for "Favorite Guest Appearance in a Music Video" for I Need You by Mark Bautista. In 2007, Anne became an MTV VJ for the new MTV Philippines which relaunched March 1, 2007. She is currently starring in a film under Star Cinema with Aga Muhlach entitled "When Love Begins".

Biography
Curtis was born and raised in Australia by a Filipina mother and an Australian father.

She lived in Australia until her lawyer father, James Curtis-Smith, moved to the Philippines when she was 12 years old. It is a move that Curtis is thankful for. "I am so happy that I’m here. If I were in Australia I’d have been in a boarding school! My dad was strict when it comes to education. He kept on discouraging me when I tried doing commercials, saying that they are just tricking me to get out of school. We lived in the country, so we’d be asleep around 8 or 9 p.m. It was really boring. But here, there are so many gimmicks. As of now, being young, I prefer living here (in the Philippines) but maybe when I settle down, I’ll move back to Australia."

Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis in Viva Film's Baler

The Viva Films entry to the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival is a period drama starring Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis.

Baler is a love story set in the 1898 wartime era between the Spanish military and the Filipino forces, more popularly known as the “Seige of Baler.” Jericho Rosales is Celso Resurrecion, a Katipunero and his leading lady which is Anne curtis is Feliza Reyes, a Spanish-Filipina who fell in love with him. According to reports, Baler has a production budget of 70 to 100 million pesos.

Also starring in Baler are Joel Torre, Bernard Palanca, Michael de Mesa, Jao Mapa, Carlo Aquino, Mark Bautista, Ryan Eigenmann, Alvin Anson, Cinemalaya Best Actor Baron Geisler and Philip Salvador.

Produced by Vic del Rosario for Viva Films, Baler will open in theaters nationwide by December 25, 2008.

Mackenzie Phillips Busted For Drug Possession

Of all the places not to carry drugs, airport’s are right up there on the top of that list, next to a police station.

But One Day at a Time actress Mackenzie Phillips has been busted at LAX for allegedly possessing heroin and cocaine. She’s in custody right now.

At 10:00 AM, officers responded to Terminal 4, where 48-year-old Phillips was being screened by TSA. During the screening process, some baggies and balloons believed to contain heroin and cocaine were recovered.

The former “One Day at a Time” star has had a long history of drug abuse.

This is also the week when the Richard Gutierrez-KC Concepcion starrer “For the First Time” garnered a total of P 134,695.005.40 at the box-office marking its 3rd position after “A Very Special Love” and “Caregiver.”

I.T.A.L.Y. (I Trust and Love You) registered its 3rd-week gross total of P 20,284,310.26, clearly not a box-office hit.

The Lobo star Angel Locsin and Dyesebel star Marian Rivera are heating up the Philippine Entertainment from tv shows to advertisements including the Magazines. Fans of both actresses show their full support to their idols as the rivalry between Angel and Marian has spilled over the voting for FHM’s 100 sexiest women. on PEP News - Recently, fans of Angel are accusing the popular men’s magazine of manipulating voting results in favor of the other contenders, and in this case, GMA-7’s current darling Marian. In an e-mail letter disseminated by a certain Grace Smith, a self-confessed Angel Locsin supporter, she said that fellow fans were taken aback by the sudden slide of their idol in the ranking despite the incessant voting being carried out by Angel’s ardent supporters.

“Some of my co-supporters had been angered by the sudden drop of online votes for our bet, making Ms. Marian Rivera in the No. 1 spot and Ms. Angel in No. 4. It is only but natural for us to act like that since we’ve been voting unceasingly,” wrote Grace.

“Of course we cannot do that 24 hours a day 7 days a week since most of Angel Locsin supporters are office employees who need to attend to their jobs first and foremost, but as soon as we get home we manage to vote everyday ever since the online voting started. To add, some of our online voters have been banned disabling them to vote further, for no reason at all. In effect, they thought it was the reason why the leading female took the No. 1 spot.”

While Angel’s fans are not questioning the integrity of FHM, as Grace said, it was clear that the group was bringing up the issue of transparency—an integral element of any contest highly driven by digital media.

“To clear if off, our bet, Miss Angel Locsin has no knowledge or whatsoever with our activities in supporting her to win in the FHM sexiest race. This is our voluntary and heartfelt efforts to make her No.1 in magazine once again,” stressed the loyal supporter.

FHM Philippines Reaction:

FHM Digital Publisher Denis Achilles del Callar, on the other hand, scoffed at the allegation, stressing the words: “We do not manipulate results.” Denis emphasized the following key points in a letter sent to PEP.

“Contrary to the e-mails being circulated, we’ve never published the number of votes either on-line, through text or through the magazine. Any claim that so and so celebrity was leading last week by several thousand votes is therefore an act of fiction with no basis on reality. “Also, voting was stricter this year precisely to discourage stars who pay people to do nothing but vote for them all day, only ten votes per day on-line and via text per user/cellphone is possible—unless you own multiple SIMs and user-Ids.”

As for the technical glitches occasionally encountered by the phone subscribers, Denis argued that the FHM team absolutely has nothing to do with it. “We have no control over Smart, Globe, and Sun,” he explained. “If their system is currently faulty, it’s not our fault and there’s nothing we can do about it.” The results will be announced in the July 2008 issue of FHM.

Considered a highly-anticipated affair, the FHM annual event gathers more than a hundred gorgeous female celebrities all in one night. Ranking is based on votes placed by fans and supporters, and the top placer automatically secures the coveted crown plus the distinction of being hailed as the country’s sexiest woman.

Angel Locsin (born Angelica Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer in the Philippines who was introduced in GMA Network's youth-oriented program, Click. Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the popular Mars Ravelo comics. She also starred in Mano Po 4 and Sigaw. She has no memories of her father either. “Only a picture,” she says. And she doesn’t miss him. “I never grew up with a father,” she adds. “Had I felt his presence then, I could have missed him today.”

In her childhood, Angelica had thought that her grandfather, Alfredo Panganiban, was her father, until her playmates set her aright. “I was playing in a playmate’s house and told the rest that my daddy was coming home soon with plenty of pasalubong (gifts).’ But they told me, ‘He’s not your daddy, he’s your lolo. You don’t have a daddy…’ I didn’t cry. It wasn’t an issue for me; I was too young then.”

The only time she wished her father was around, Angelica says, was two years ago, when she celebrated her debut. “He could have been my first dance,” she says wistfully. Her Lolo Alfredo graciously did the honor.

Amazingly, no one has yet come forward to claim paternity of this young actress who starred in such movies as “Antipolo Massacre,” her first film, “Separada” (where she won a Famas for Best Child Actress), and “Santa Santita.”All she knows about him, says Angelica, is that her parents had separated when she was two. He was crazy (baliw), her mother had told her.

It was no big deal, she recalls. In grade school, Angelica remembers having a group of friends called “barkadahang walang ama” (friends without fathers). “All my friends’ parents were separated. Their stories were worse than mine. One’s father was said to have been ran over by a train. Another said her mother chopped off her father’s head, and so on.”

Only recently did her mother started telling her the truth, but piecemeal. “My parents separated, he’s now settled in Guam and has another family.” That’s all she knows and that’s how far she’ll go answering any more queries about her family.

Angelica was born on November 4, 1986 in Caloocan City. Listed as her parents are Alfredo Panganiban, a taxi operator in Guam, and Melania Panganiban, a housewife. Angelica finished elementary school in 1999 at St. Vincent in Teacher’s Village, Quezon City, and her high school in 2003 at St. Vincent, West Avenue. The pretty lass was the Junior-Senior Prom Princess in 2002 and Miss Junior and Senior Prom in 2003.

Early success
Angelika Dela Cruz started her career in 1995. She became part of the movie Nights of Serafina which made her win the 1997 New Best Actress of the Year award. After that, ABS-CBN spotted her and she became part of the noon-time soap opera Mara Clara. Angelika, whose main passion is singing, made two albums under BMG Records and one album under Imperial Records, which succeeded in selling her album in Japan. Though she really wanted to be a singer, Angelika found more success in the field of acting. After her stint in Mara Clara, she was seen again in another Judy Ann Santos series: Esperanza. When Angelika's contract with GMA expired, Angelika moved back to her first home studio ABS-CBN. She was paired again with ex-boyfriend Jericho Rosales in the hit series Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas with Kristine Hermosa and Diether Ocampo. After doing the soap, Angelika refrained from drama and concentrated in her hosting talent. She did hosting in the showbiz-oriented show ETK: Konek, ASAP, Morning Star, MTB: Ang Saya Saya, and the 2004 Himig Handog Love Songs. After that, Angelika made another primetime series, Ikaw ang Lahat Sa Akin with Claudine Barretto, Diether Ocampo, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. After doing a supporting role in Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin, Angelika made another soap opera, the TV remake of a Sharon Cuneta and Cherie Gil movie, Bituing Walang Ningning, this time, she played the anti-heroine to the series which also starred Sarah Geronimo and Ryan Agoncillo. Angelika was also seen in Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkantao where she played the role of Kalagua, the ultimate evil. She also played as one of the leads in the mid-drama series Prinsesa ng Banyera along with Kristine Hermosa. She subsequently turned down the following roles offered to her by ABS-CBN: lead role on the then-upcoming show Kapag Langit and Humatol which was shelved; the leading lady of Vhong Navarro in Lastikman; and the anti-heroine roles in Ysabella and Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita (which was bought later on by GMA Network where she accepted the role). She was also considered for the lead role of the remake of Rubi.

Back to GMA Network
While Prinsesa ng Banyera is still on air, Angelika decided to move back to the Kapuso network. She signed a full-year contract with the station that gave her two major soap operas. Her comeback project with the Kapuso network is a remake of a Sharon Cuneta movie, Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita. She was replaced by former Kapuso star, Ara Mina, in the on-going Prinsesa ng Banyera. There are news that Angelika will star in another sinenovela with Iza Calzado entitled Una Kang Naging Akin.

Early Life
Licaros was raised in Cainta, Rizal but traces her roots back to Cuenca, Batangas. She is the eldest in a brood that includes three brothers. She signed up for the contest and eventually captured the title of Binibining Pilipinas-Universe on March 3, 2007. She was the official representative of the Philippines to the Miss Universe 2007 pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico.

Aubrey Miles (born Aubrey Sandel, March 16, 1982 in Caloocan, Philippines) is a TV host, singer and actress in the Philippines.

Miles is the third among the four kids of Victorino Sandel and Maria Perla Santos. She finished her secondary education at La Consolacion Academy in Caloocan City. She was a college sophomore student at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, major in voice and minor in piano when talent scout Dondon Monteverde discovered and signed her up to an eight-film, two-year contract with Regal Films.

At 16, Miles was already appearing in GMA sitcoms like Beh Bote Nga and German Moreno's Best Friends. In between showbiz assignments, she joined beauty contests such as Miss Ever Gotesco, Miss Caloocan, Miss Lions Club, and Miss Global Philippines in which her sister ended up being the first runner-up and she won fourth runner-up. She never won a title but copped runner-up positions that earned her enough money to support her family and herself.

As Miles was nearing the age of 20, she decided to do something new. Dondon Monteverde offered her to play a prostitute from the provinces in the softcore movie Prosti (abbreviation for "prostitute"). After Prosti became successful in the box office, making P29 million. To date, Prosti is still the highest grossing movie of her career. This successful debut led to other movie offers, all of which did not enjoy the same level of success as Prosti. She was offered endorsement contracts from different companies, such as Bench (a clothing company in the Philippines).

After Prosti, Miles starred in the movie Xerex (based on a sex confessional column in a Philippine tabloid), where she played three different roles. Xerex was a commercial disaster as a result of two movies: Viva Films' Sex Drive and 20th Century Fox's X2: X-Men United. Originally scheduled for an April 2, 2003 opening date, Regal Films did not want to risk playing Xerex with Sex Drive knowing that Aubrey's rival Maui Taylor and fellow Viva hot babe Katya Santos are a formidable box-office attraction together. Realizing that there's no chance of winning against Viva's sexy movie, Regal delayed Xerex's opening by 28 days.

Unfortunately again for Regal and Aubrey Miles, Xerex opened on the same April 30, 2003 date as Hollywood's X2 made its much-awaited debut. Adding insult to injury, Star Cinema released its much-awaited romantic comedy Til There Was You (Judy Ann Santos and Piolo Pascual) that same day as well. Because Regal spent so much money and could not afford another delay, they went ahead in releasing Xerex. As a wide majority of filmgoers watched X2 and Til There Was You, Xerex flopped in the box-office making only P13.3 million on a budget of P24 million. Even with home videos accounted for, Regal lost a total of P18.1 million with Xerex. Since Xerex, Miles' movie career and ability to attract moviegoers got damaged and never recovered.

Miles' next movie, Sanib, further damaged her acting career as it grossed only 8.2 million PhP in the box office despite its P25 million budget and massive marketing by Regal Films. It was universally panned by film critics as a poor man's copycat of The Exorcist. Not surprisingly, Miles was perceived as a candidate for "2003's Worst Actress" due to her badly-criticized performance in this movie. She played a young lady who gets possessed by demons, very much like Linda Blair in The Exorcist.

Targeting multi-media exposure, Miles' manager secured for her a contract with television network ABS-CBN. She appeared in Masayang Tanghali Bayan (a daily noontime show) and in several sitcoms of ABS-CBN. As part of her marketing strategy to appeal to a wider audience, she began appearing in non-sexy roles in movies like Sanib, A Beautiful Life and Gagamboy, Regal Film's entry to the 2003 Metro Manila Film Festival, where she appeared as actor Vhong Navarro's love interest.

Aubrey Miles has appeared on the cover of FHM Philippines twice. She was a cover-girl of FHM in September 2002 at the start of her career, and was completely covered in gold-paint for the magazines' 75th issue in August 2004. Aubrey was also one of three FHM Calendar Girls along with Maui Taylor and Diana Zubiri for the FHM 2003 calendar.

It was in a small town beauty contest that she was discovered by famed Filipino fashion designer Oscar Peralta who then brought her to the attention of talent manager Archie Ilagan. The latter presented Bea to the head of the ABS-CBN Talent Center Johnny Manahan who inducted her into the Star Circle Batch 10. There she would be given a wide-range of acting lessons which later helped her land a part in the teen-oriented drama / comedy K2BU.

Career
In 2003, at the age of 15, Bea would be cast as 20 year old lawyer Katrina Argos in the TV drama Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. The role would garner her first "Best Actress" nomination at the 2003 PMPC Star Awards. She was the youngest ever to be nominated in that category.

Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay paved the way for the John Lloyd and Bea loveteam. Camille Prats is the second child of Daniel Rafael Prats and the former Alma Quiambao and is also the niece of former actress Mia Prats. She has a sister and three brothers, one of whom is actor John Prats.

Camille Prats' first foray into show business came in 1990 when she was a contestant in "Little Miss Philippines", a popular segment of the variety show Eat Bulaga. This led to her regular appearances in ABS-CBN's children's program Ang TV.

In 1995, Camille Prats catapulted into fame when she starred in the movie Sarah...Ang Munting Prinsesa, a Philippine adaptation of the anime Princess Sarah, which was in turn based on Frances Hodgson Burnett children's novel A Little Princess.

As Camille Prats grew up, she appeared in sitcoms and teen-oriented dramas. But in 2006, she decided to shed her "Princess Sarah" image by posing for the Philippine edition of FHM Magazine.

Cindy is the daughter of divorced couple Faustina Verdillo and Friedrich Kurleto. She stands 5'10". She was taken care of by her mother in Austria where she grew up. Cindy finished her education from elementary to college and took a Hotel and Restaurant Management course there. She later became a waitress. In 2001, she eventually got bored with her job. At that point she decided to take a vacation in her other home country, the Philippines. She sold her car and apartment, quit her job, bought a ticket, packed one suitcase and left for the Philippines. Long after arriving, she decided to settle there for good. It was hard for her at first, but she finally managed to adapt to life there. Her first movie was Jerry Lopez Sineneng's "Ngayong Nandito Ka" with Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales and Onemig Bondoc (2003). In this movie, she played Dennis Samonte's girlfriend who spited him. Cindy Kurleto and Kristine Hermosa stayed very good friends since after the movie they made together in 2003, contrary to the rumors.

Even before she became popular in the entertainment industry, she was known as a major HO in the music industry. She lived in with a has-been rapper, Art Strong, before she dumped him for Jericho Rosales. Rumors had it that Jericho's schlong was longer than Art hence, Cindy did not hesitate to trade him [Art] up.

Born on February 14, 1985 to parents Reynaldo and Cecilia Ongpauco, Heart is the youngest in her family, with one brother and four sisters. She grew up and studied in the United States. Her family moved back to the Philippines in her late teen years. She spent her high school years at the Colegio San Agustin, Makati.

Career
Evangelista was first discovered by a commercial agent while at a mall with her sister.[citation needed] She signed up with Star Magic (formerly known as Talent Center) and was paired with John Prats on the show G-Mik. Her team-up with John Prats gained tremendous popularity, and they starred in several movies together— , Ang Tanging Ina and My First Romance. They also starred on another teen-oriented show, Berks.

Evangelista was paired with Geoff Eigenmann on the primetime soap opera Hiram which also starred Kris Aquino, Dina Bonnevie, John Estrada and Anne Curtis. She earned her a Star Awards Best Actress nomination on this series.

She later starred on the fantasy-action TV show Panday.

Evangelista also won the best new female personality (Best New Movie Actress and Best New TV Actress) awards from Star Awards for Movies and Star Awards for TV. She also won Texter's and Listener's Choice at the Himig Handog Awards for her single "Love Has Come My Way". Heart also released the single "Tell Me" in Australia. It peaked at number 18 on the charts.[citation needed]

Evangelista worked on and off for three years (2005-2008) and focused mainly on hosting gigs, starring on a few Maalaala Mo Kaya and Your Song episodes, and giving time to her foundation Heart Can. In early 2007, she renewed her ties with her mother station ABS-CBN and was under a per project basis. She finished a sineserye (TV series based on a film) for the station, the remake of the movie Hiram na Mukha, and appeared briefly on Pangarap Na Bituin. She also topbilled the reformatted version of Your Song under the title "Muntik Na Kitang Minahal".

Managed by Manila Genesis Entertainment for two years (2006-2008), she is now being managed by her father and co-managed by Annabelle Rama, Richard Gutierrez's mother. She was considered for the lead role of the upcoming ABS-CBN show, Batingting, but it was shelved along with Anna Liza (Maja Salvador) and The Wedding (Anne Curtis).

She announced her sudden transfer to ABS-CBN's rival network, GMA Network, last April 23, 2008. She signed up a two-year exclusive contract and is now being paired with Richard Gutierrez. Their first teledrama together on GMA's upcoming drama series Codename: Asero

Religious and Charity Work
Since 2006, Evangelista has been very vocal on her conversion from Roman Catholicism to Evangelical Christianity.[citation needed] She now attends New Life Christian Fellowship after initially attending at Victory Christian Fellowship. She has always stated that her conversion is the reason she moved from Star Magic (backed by ABS-CBN) to the small and independent religious/secular Genesis.

Since September 2006, she has started taking on a humanitarian role starting with the creation of Heart Can, a foundation that aims to help children with respiratory diseases. Heart Can has been taking her through a series of mall shows. So far, it has already distributed many cans for donations, raising money for the young children benefiting from the charity.

Even though her transfer from Star Magic to Genesis has caused her popularity to decline, Heart says she has no regrets because she needed the spiritual counsel that Genesis could provide her. She has also stated that she is very happy with her life, "not just working but having...living a life".

Leah Dizon (リア・ディゾン, Ria Dizon?, born Leah Donna Dizon on September 24, 1986) is a model, singer, actress, and TV personality in Japan, born in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.[1] Her ethnicities include Chinese, Filipino and French. In 2006, she moved to Tokyo, Japan after being accepted by a Japanese talent agency for her modeling. Soon after, she began her music career releasing Japanese-language songs.

Leah Dizon was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents were casino dealers. Her father was a business man in one of the largest cities in California. She has two older brothers, an older sister, and two younger brothers. She says she grew up listening to Rock and R&B music. She took dance lessons and was in her high school theater. Dizon dreamed of pursuing a career as a singer.

After graduating from high school, Dizon moved to Los Angeles and began her modeling career. While attending college as a film major, Dizon landed a phone company advertisement and posed for the cover features of various import-car magazines. This gained her much attention and a fanbase overseas, predominantly in East Asia. One year after her pictures were posted up on the internet, she already had 2,000,000 hits from search engines. Following the advice of her fans, Dizon sent a demo tape with photographs of herself to a talent agency in Japan and in April of 2006, after being accepted, she immediately moved to Tokyo. In October 2006, she released her first photobook titled Petite Amie (Girlfriend in French), which was ranked as the third best-selling photobook of 2006 and 2007.

On February 14, 2007, she released her first physical single, Softly under the Victor Entertainment label. It peaked at number #7 in the Oricon Weekly Chart. On the same day, she also released her second photobook titled Hello! Leah, which was ranked as the second best-selling photobook of 2007.

On May 30, 2007, Dizon released her second single Koi Shiyō (恋しよう♪, Koi Shiyō?), which also peaked at #7 on the Oricon Weekly Chart. The title track is described as a 'grooving, up-tempo dance song' and the single features 2 B-sides: Could you be that one? and Aishiteru～ Love Story (アイシテル～ Love Story, Aishiteru～ Love Story?). The title track, Koi Shiyō was used in a Lotte TV ad[9] while Could you be that one? was used in a PlayStation 3 Ninja Gaiden Sigma TV ad, with Dizon starring in both commercials. Her third single entitled L・O・V・E U was released on August 8, 2007.

Leah released her debut album "Destiny Line" on September 12, 2007. The CD+DVD Edition contains 14 tracks, 10 of which were penned by Leah herself the single PVs as well as a special album PV "Again and Again". The CD Only Edition contains the digitally-released remix of Koi Shiyō, called Koi Shiyō♪ (yasutaka nakata-capsule mix). Leah Dizon's third photobook titled Heaven, was released October 5, 2007. It includes a DVD. Dizon released her fourth single entitled "Love Paradox" on March 26, 2008. The Title track is an American like Urban song, and the B-side "Under the same sky" is a mid-tempo ballad. The same day, she also released her fourth photobook, "Pure Leah."

On April 18 it was announced that Leah's song, Under the Same Sky, will be used as the theme song for the Japanese drama, Tokyo Prom Queen. Leah will also make a guest appearance on the show as Naomi, the prom queen from the previous year. Her fifth single, Vanilla was released on June 25, 2008.

While vacationing in Manila, Philippines in 2001, Nancy was spotted by talent casters who got her to appear in television ads such as Nestle Yogurt, Red Horse and Piattos. Nancy's auspicious beginnings in Philippine Showbiz started in the year 2000, when the pretty Balikbayan was on vacation from Canada. She was spotted at a mall by a talent scout and was invited to star in a Tv commercial. That one commercial for (Red Horse Beer) a local brand of beer propelled her to modeling stardom. In no time, Nancy was on the cover of local magazines and was the most sought after model of the year. Her next commercial for a yogurt brand made her a household face. But even before the Castiglione fever swept the country, Nancy was used to performing in front of an audience. She had formal classical music and theatrical music training and was part of the Philippine cultural dance group, Kayumangi. Not known to a lot of people, Nancy can dance the Tinikling, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Wasiwas and Singkil among others. She took up Political science in the university of Manitoba. She was also the Philippine youth ambassador for Canada and Italy in the year 1977 .at present she is the Philippine education ambassador for Canada. She became a GMA 7 exclusive talent and guested in almost all of the network's shows. Her debut movie role was opposite Piolo Pascual and Joyce Jimenez in " I Think I'm In Love; "for which she won another Star award for Best new female actress for Movies in the same year.

She became a regular of "Kahit Kailan" after the previous lead actress and the former teen idol from the other network couldn't bring in the ratings for the show. When the show folded, Gma replaced it with Love 2 Love, which starred Nancy in the very 1st season and the show became a runaway smash. Nancy's next role was in the soap Hanggang Kailan where she played a deaf mute. She had to learn sign language for the role. She also landed a role on Lagot Ka Isusumbong Kita , partnered with Cogie Domingo as the teen stars of the sitcom. Love 2 Love picked her up again for another run during its 4th and 6 th seasons for a much needed ratings boost for the program. She then got the much coveted female host slot for the first ever reality based talent search tv show- STARSTRUCK. This is where her hosting skills went into overdrive and she became an in demand host as well as endorser during that time. She won for herself a generation of new fans- the kids when "Mulawin" debuted in 2004. Her "Muyak" character was reminiscent of Tinkerbell and it was so popular that "Muyak" was carried over to the sequel "Encantadia".

Nancy was also part of the Ayala malls production of Mulan, where she played the title role opposite, Greg Turvey. She was in April 2007's Luv Spell series with Toni Gonzaga and Zanjoe Marudo. And had a stint as a vj for Studio 23. Nancy is Uno Magazine's 2nd sexiest woman in the Philippines for 2007 and is the brand new Gran Matador Brandy girl. The daughter of Filipino action star Eddie Fernandez, Pops Fernandez is one of the Philippines' most well-known and enduring vocalists. Fernandez began her musical career at age 16 when she signed a contract with OctoArts in 1981.

In 1982, Fernandez released her first LP, Pops, and started co-hosting the TV variety series Penthouse Live! with Martin Nievera. Fernandez quickly became an immensely popular teen idol in the Philippines; the press even dubbed her as the country's "Concert Queen" for her ability to attract huge crowds. Her face appeared on the covers of countless magazines. Five years after Penthouse Live! debuted, the show was replaced by Martin and Pops Twogether. Tanya Katherine Rosales Lyttle, more popularly known by her screen name Tanya Garcia (born August 5, 1981), is a Filipina telenovela and film actress. She was born to a white American father and a Filipina mother of Spanish descent. She became a household name after playing Cecilia in one of the longest running soap operas of GMA Network, Sana ay Ikaw Na Nga, opposite Dingdong Dantes.

Her showbiz career started when she was introduced as one of the teen stars of Star Circle Batch 5 on ABS-CBN. She appeared in youth-oriented shows like Gimik (where she was first paired with Patrick Garcia) and played supporting role in Esperanza as Judy Ann Santos’ sister.

She took a break from her showbiz career for a while and concentrated on her studies. She took up Mass Communication in Dominican College when she was signed by Viva Films and later on appeared in the Viva Television afternoon drama Anna Karenina as Grace opposite Dingdong Dantes. She also had a cameo role in the TV Drama Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin.

Her rise to fame started when she played the role of Cecilia in the drama telebabad show Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga with Dingdong Dantes, Bobby Andrews and Angelu De Leon. On the later part of the soap, she also played the role of Olga, the antagonist of Cecilia, which was played again by Maricar de Mesa.

After her stint at the said show, she was reunited with onscreen partner Dingdong Dantes at the light dramedy Twin Hearts as Althea, a heart operation survivor who fell in love with the ex-boyfriend of the heart donor. She was also paired with Dennis Trillo.

She did a religious-theme show in QTV called Noel where she was paired with James Blanco and Paolo Contis. She was then later on paired with Ogie Alcasid in the family-oriented tv show “Ay Robot” again with QTV.

She also appeared in the third season of Now and Forever Presents Agos as Sophia, a young liberated lawyer who eventually fell in love with her brother (played by Dennis Trillo). She also had a cameo role in the show Makita ka Lang Muli as the young Celia Rodriguez.

She is considered as one of the sexiest Pinay in the Philippine Showbiz scene. She first appeared in the March 2006 issue of FHM Philippines.

Tanya Garcia also starred in numerous movies. She played the role of a possessed man’s wife in Kulimlim with Robin Padilla as her leading man in 2004. Some of her movie credits include Shake, Rattle and Roll 2K5, Filipinas and Batas Militar.

After her long hiatus on the telebabad run, she’s back as the wicked stepmother Aloya in the new GMA Fantasy show Super Twins topbilled by Jennylyn Mercado, Nadine Samonte and former loveteam Dennis Trillo.
